Termites in Bali timber: what to check before you call Red Face Pest Control

Warm, humid structures give termites a long season. Wood-dust and a hollow sound are the usual tells — call before beams fail.

Why Bali timber is an easy season for termites

Denpasar houses sit in heat and humidity for most of the year. Timber beams, door frames, and floor boards stay damp enough that a colony can work inside the wood for months before you see a wing or a collapsed board. This note is a check-list from Red Face Pest Control, not a substitute for a site visit.

Tap a beam. If it sounds hollow, or you find fine wood-dust at the base of a post, treat that as a reason to WhatsApp the desk — not as proof you can wait until the next rainy season.

Signs that usually show first

Termites eat from the inside. The outside of a board can still look painted while the core is gone. Walk the house in daylight and look at the places timber meets masonry.

  • Fine wood-dust at posts, door frames, and window sills
  • A hollow sound when you tap a beam or skirting
  • Mud tubes on masonry next to wood
  • Wings on sills after rain
Call before beams fail. Photos of the wood help the Denpasar desk quote before anyone arrives.

What a visit actually looks at

The crew walks timber, wet walls, and the ground line. Treatment is quoted after that walk — not from a slogan. Indoor rooms, outdoor posts, and the soil line around the house all matter because the colony is not only in the board you can see.

Rooms and wet walls

Kitchens, bathrooms, and laundry walls hold moisture. Termite activity often sits where timber is fixed to a damp wall. A spray on the floor you can see does not reach that joint.

Ground line and outdoor timber

Bali villas put a lot of wood near soil: decks, pergolas, fence posts, and the underside of stairs. If timber sits on or in the ground, it is on the check-list even when the living room looks clean.

What this guide is not

It is not a price list. Cost depends on how far the colony has gone into the structure. It is not a DIY recipe. Household sprays do not replace a timber inspection. If you already know you need treatment, open termite control or send photos via the contact page.

  1. Photograph dust, hollow timber, mud tubes, and wings
  2. WhatsApp the desk on +62 821-6337-487
  3. Walk the site with the crew if a visit is needed

Every visit is still measured against guaranteed, pet- and child-safe, and discreet work. This article supports the termite service — it does not replace it.
